It has been at least three months since I posted here. I am very glad I didn’t drop off the face of the earth. I have a lot of events and game reviews to catch up on, some news to report, and a few announcements
First order of business-
Congratulations to Samuel Danky for winning the Playstation 4 giveaway! Samuel Danky hails from the UK and is a big fan of Ryan’s Video Game Reviews, and just recently got his brand new console in the mail.
Unfortunately, both shipping and paying for the console itself proved rather expensive, which means I am going to have to take a hiatus on contests until further notice. Don’t worry; it won’t be this way forever, especially since I have a few plans in the works for monetizing this site…
…without advertisements :3.
Second order of business – While I was unable to attend this year, I do plan on covering this Year’s E3 event, especially to the vast majority of you who also could not attend. I will be covering every single game announcement and major event that took place there, with news from Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo respectively. Should be fun.
Also, since I am on a tight budget these days, and we are entering the dreaded Summer Drought for the game industry, now might be a good time to introduce two themes for the following summer months.
Mainly,
Retro Month
and
Indie Game Month
on July and August respectfully. Once all the great new games announced over the spring start popping out like bunny rabbits in September, I should have a bank account healthy enough to indulge your more current tastes.
Keep in minds that I won’t try to cheap out TOO much during each month; I know I missed a lot of current releases so Retro Month will be about games I missed as well as old games, plus Indie Month will be about awesome upcoming Xbox Live titles that are coming out.
That’s it for right now. If you are interested in helping me monetize this site to give you more great content and want me to cover the conventions next year, be my guest and click on the button “Patronize Me!” on the above menu. If you notice that the video on that site is old, forgive me; I will change it over to something awesome soon.
